Wedding Photography
Capturing memories. It’s about more than just photographing the traditional group shots and the first kiss, although they are always on the priority list for any photographer. It’s also about capturing the small moments - the glimpses of informality that tell the whole story of the day. The unguarded moments as well as the formal ones. I aim to provide you with a set of beautiful images that not only remind you of your day, but that also reveal parts of the day that you were too busy to notice. Wonderful memories, beautifully captured.
My approach to wedding photography is professional but informal. You want to know that your wedding photography is in safe hands, and that you will get the results that you want. After I have confirmed my availability, and we have exchanged emails, I like to arrange a face to face meeting with you as soon as possible so that we can get to know each other and discuss your requirements in more detail. After this meeting, I will follow up with a quotation and contract. A £100 deposit (non refundable) will secure the booking. We will arrange another meeting nearer to your wedding day to firm up the details of the day.
On the day, I try to deliver a range of images of varying styles: the traditional formal and group photos, together with plenty of more candid and relaxed images of you and your guests enjoying the day. It is often these more informal images that rekindle memories of the details of the day. As you would expect, I will arrive in good time and dressed appropriately. Apart from when taking the traditional group photos, I like to work in as unobtrusive a way as possible, looking to capture those unguarded candid moments - the laughter, smiles and tears that portray the emotions of the day.
After the big day, I will work to process your images as quickly as possible, but you should normally expect it to take a couple of weeks for post-processing to be completed, depending on the number of images I have to work on. Normally, I like to email you a small selection of images after a few days to reassure you that all is well, and so that you can share some images on social media as soon as possible! When all processing is complete, you will receive a full set of high resolution images, each of which has been processed to deliver the best possible result. Images will be provided on a USB memory stick. I do not promise a specific number of images, but you can expect to receive between 150 and 500 images, depending on the number of hours covered.
